María is an interdisciplinary artist based in Switzerland. The medias that she uses goes in  between and beyond contemporary music, free improvisation, physical theater and visual arts. Recently she joined different physical theater modules in Jaques Lecoq school in Paris and in ArtHaus Berlin to expand the inner sound and bodily expressiveness. 

 

María wants to mutate the musical paradigm through the integration of performative arts. She is committed to the actualisation of creation in an attempt to break the fourth wall to include the spectator no longer just a spectator. Her most current projects are devising theater collaborations with other artists where they work without hierarchies and in which they develop something personal as a group.

 

Studied contemporary music and free improvisation in Musik Akademie Basel till 2020. She also did a postgraduate in mixed media arts in collaboration with FHNW Academy of Art and Design Basel. Before, she had an erasmus program in Hochschule der Bildenden Künste Saar where she finished her fine arts degree started in Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

 

 

She is member of new music and experimental ensembles like Latenz Ensemble, VanProject and Ensemble Lemniscate and collaborated with others such as Neuverband,  Diagonal Ensemble and Basel Sinfonietta.
