Kilogirl / Lemniscate meets Batida / Gare du Nord, Basel

_Kilogirl_ is a collaborative project that unites two ensembles, Geneva-based Batida and Basel-based Lemniscate, around kilOGirl$, a 30-minute work co-composed in 2021 by Batida and composer Antye Greie-Ripatti (AGF). This piece, originally co-commissioned by Batida and Contrechamps, serves as the foundation for the project, which now extends with new compositions by Asia Ahmetjanova (Latvia/Switzerland) and Fernando Manassero (Argentina/Switzerland). These new works, created through close collaboration between the composers and the musicians of Lemniscate, offer unique perspectives on pioneering women in technology. The concert evening will conclude with an improvisational set featuring both ensembles, reflecting our deep interest in the synergy that emerges from collaborative music-making.
